Open a door into real lives.
Capture the stories that speak to the human condition. Allow people to reveal their passions, fears, joys and desires.
Exposure is a communication company that makes people-based programmes for commercial, documentary and humanitarian purposes throughout the world.
To connect, to feel, to become part of. Touch is the first sense we develop as humans, and by far the most personal. It lets us know what is real and what is not. At the deepest level, it is how we communicate who we are and what we feel.
Not faked, staged or virtual. Real is actual, and complete, both in content and context. It is the setting our lives are played out in. And the only environment where pure emotions can have true impact.
The one subject that fascinates us all. In anyone we can see a part of ourselves. People are powerful. The words of a total stranger can have lasting effect. Thousands of eyes can be opened to the story of millions by just one person.
Exposure is a method for building a tangible bridge between a message and the people who need to hear it. It is far more than merely reporting on an event, passing on information or providing a platform to express a point of view. It is allowing people to develop a personal and emotional link that transcends the limitations previously imposed by the media of print, radio, and even television or film.
Viewers can relate directly and immediately to the people they are watching. Exposure does this by creating connection. Allowing emotion to give weight and purpose to information. Stories from the heart speak to the heart.
If there is a story that needs to be told, then it will be strongest if heard first from the people involved. Rather than skewing or filtering that story to match an agenda, Exposure serves as an open channel, a pipeline that delivers the message directly to those who need to hear it.
We do not tell people how they should feel or what they should think. We simply focus on finding the best way to let others tell their story.
The relevance and impact of Exposure relies on a true global commitment to finding those stories, then getting them told, seen and heard.
For nearly fifteen years, Exposure documentaries, television commercials, photo essays, commentaries, fund development projects and educational programmes have been filmed and viewed around the world. The team has travelled extensively throughout Asia, Africa, North, Central and South America, Europe and the Pacific to capture real life where it is actually happening.
We relish being able to do what we do. Our work is exciting because we know people are exciting. We get to touch the things that make us all human, then pass them on for others to see and feel for themselves.

Selected from a Prison Fellowship International photo essay that covered 27 prisons in 13 countries. Some of the harshest environments, some of the worst conditions... yet still, there are prisoners who make the crossing from despair to hope.
Every day more than seven thousand African adults and children die from AIDS. These images from a Malawi village capture a circle of friends behind the statistics; Jessie, Lute, YosoFati, Kunthata and Chimwemwe. Each of these children has either lost one or both parents to AIDS, or they are living with HIV.
Almost twenty million people worldwide are refugees who have been resettled in other countries. Shot whilst filming a UNHCR documentary, these are the steps in the journey for one group of African families resettling in New Zealand.
Through poverty, hunger, despair, war, sickness... kids can still find a way to be kids. Though sometimes taken in the most desperate of circumstances, these pictures capture the simple joy of being.
